R.Douglas

Been away
Its been a long time hasn't it? The past couple of months has been a real eye-opener for me. Learning about myself and bringing out that Raheem that iv'e always wanted to be inside. I came to a conclusion that, before i wasn't really complete, there were certain attributes to my character that were missing or not good enough and i guess ive been away trying to develop these. I went back to read almost every single sugarlounge post. You don't really know where you are going till you know where you've came from right?(i think thats the saying). Even on my msn messenger, i went back and read all of my past chat logs from last autumn/winter and came to the conclusion that, people won't really know who you are unless YOU know who you are. In a chunk, let's just say ive been away studying MYSELF, Raheem Douglas. Imagine if you was aware of yourself and everything you did was congruently in place with your REAL character? Then you'd be very good at what you do right, no matter what you do, because when you speak, you obviously will believe what you are saying so people will see that you are confident and they too will believe you(even if it is a lie). Before, i was trying to learn so many things about the opposite sex(women) when i wasn't really aware of my inner self you feel me? You know when Kelly kept on stressing about USP's and all of the other marketing terminology? yea, thats what i mean, thats what i was missing. So i went back to pick up the other pieces of the puzzle, i wouldn't say its complete yet because ive still got so many things to learn when it comes to life and interation with the opposite sex, but i can say i have picked up the vital pieces of the puzzle and put them into the equation...ME!

The past month: Her name is Keisha. We've been talking for a while now and it's been cool. Shes got a beautiful personality and zest for life, which is what i love. When i met her, she was looked so good, but i wasn't going to judge her by her outer appearance, its not that, until i got to know her properly because she could look like Gabrielle Union for all i care but if her personality and character is not on point or if she's just dead at mind, then she aint the one :-). But Keisha is good. I mean, we aint in a relationship or anything, but we are close(if you know what i mean) we have'nt even got physical yet, i don't want any drama so im running it smooth, and she knows i don't have any commitment problems, she trusts me. But when i first met her, she had some major trust/commitment issues and i had to melt that REAL QUICK so she knows that my intentions are not bad. I mean, i don't blame women one bit when they are approached by guys and they put up this sort of invisible barrier, then they guy walks off pissed, thinking she is a bitch, but is she really a bitch???(rhetorical by the way...) . I mean i'm getting really good at this male-female interaction thing, it's all a learning process and this is just the start (aint it Rafael? haha). Experience is the best teacher, trust me.

Ive learnt so many things over the past couple of months and its all about putting it in practice, the only thing holding me back is EXAMS!! But for the next couple of weeks, i'm at study, it aint about slipping. But after the exams, it looks like its going to be an interesting summer, so only time will tell i guess.

Hope you all enjoy reading Sugarlounge in this new spring/summer season.
Raheem
